StCatherine's Surgery is a well-established GP practice onthe Wirral and has over 15,000 patients. We have an exciting opportunity for a receptionist to join our caring, hard-working, dedicated practice team.
Weare seeking someone with experience of working within a customer focussedsetting who will work 37.5 hours per week Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday including late cover (until 1830).

Duties and responsibilities:
Theduties and responsibilities to be undertaken by members of the practiceadministration team may include any or all of the items in the following list. Duties may be varied from time to time underthe direction of the management team, dependent on current and evolving practiceworkload and staffing levels:
- Openingup/locking-up of practice premises and maintaining security in accordance with Practice protocols
- Maintaining and monitoring the practice appointments system
- Processingpersonal and telephone requests for appointments, visits and telephoneconsultations and ensuring callers are directed to the appropriate healthcare professional
- Processing and distributing incoming (and outgoing) mail
- Taking messages and passing on information
- Filingand retrieving paperwork
- Processingrepeat prescriptions in accordance with practice guidelines
- Computerdata entry/data allocation and collation; processing and recordinginformation in accordance with practice procedures
- Initiating contact with and responding to requests from patients, other team memberand associated healthcare agencies and providers
- Clearing and re-stock consulting rooms as required
- Providingclerical assistance to practice staff as required from time to time,including word/data processing, filing, photocopying and scanning
