Semi Senior Accountant Benefits

NC Associates are working in partnership with a well-established and forward-thinking accountancy practice based on the Wirral, looking to recruit a Semi Senior Accountant due to continued growth. This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious and experienced individual from a practice background looking to progress their career and take on more responsibility in a supportive and friendly environment.

Semi Senior Accountant Duties and Responsibilities

• Prepare statutory accounts for a range of clients including sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies
• Produce VAT returns and complete bookkeeping assignments
• Assist in the preparation of personal and corporate tax returns (self-assessments and CT600s)
• Liaise with HMRC on behalf of clients

• Preparation and submission of self-assessment returns and support of MTD ITSA implementation

• Assist with onboarding of new clients and company in corporations
• Support with client queries and provide basic business advice
• Review junior team members’ work and provide support or training where required
• Ensure compliance with relevant accounting and tax regulations

Essential Experience Required

• 2–3 years’ experience in a UK accountancy practice
• AAT qualified or part-qualified ACCA/ACA
• Strong working knowledge of cloud-based accounting software such as Xero, Quick Books, Sage and Taxcalc

• Preparation and submission of self-assessment returns and support of MTD ITSA implementation

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
• Confident communicator with strong interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
