Quality Inspector We are currently looking to recruit an experienced Quality Inspector to join our Bingley based client for a 6-month contract (possibility of extension) Working Monday to Thursday 7am 4pm with a 1pm finish on Fridays

Key Responsibilities Perform accurate measurements using inspection equipment such as micrometres, calipers, verniers, shadow graphs, thread wires and gauges, plug gauges, surface testers, CMM machines, and other measuring tools. Inspect products and materials and reject any items that do not meet quality standards. Raise non-conformance reports (NCRs) and ensure proper containment and control of non-conforming components or products. Provide clear and accurate feedback to the shop floor regarding manufacturing errors or quality issues.

Review work orders, engineering drawings, and bills of materials (BOMs) to ensure all customer requirements are fully understood and met, including reports and testing requirements. Maintain and verify Material Reference Numbers (MFLs) to ensure full traceability is achieved. Manage workload effectively to maximise throughput and meet production targets. Inspect coated products returned from subcontractors to ensure quality and identify any damage.

Maintain a clean, organised, and safe work area in line with 6S principles. Support third-party inspection visits and internal audits as required. Maintain a safe and healthy working environment by following company procedures, standards, and applicable legal regulations. Carry out any additional duties assigned by the Quality Control Supervisor, either within the department or across other sections as required. Experience & Skills Required Proficient in the use of precision measuring and inspection equipment.

Ability to read and interpret technical and engineering drawings. Understanding of Bills of Materials (BOMs). Familiarity with ISO 9001 or similar quality management systems. Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills. Competent IT skills, including Microsoft Excel and Word. Strong communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively at all levels of the organisation. Demonstrates a strong work ethic, positive attitude, and high attention to detail.
