Journeyman Electrician

We are seeking experienced Journeyman-level Electricians to provide on-demand services at state office facilities in Binghamton, NY. This role involves evening and weekend assignments with occasional daytime work. Electricians will perform electrical and data-related tasks, ensuring high-quality workmanship, safety compliance, and clear communication with project managers and site personnel.

• Install and relocate floor boxes on raised flooring.
• Remove unused electrical or data connections and harvest wires from beneath floors.
• Update electrical closets to support additional services.
• Install new wall outlets for electrical and data services.
• Connect services to designated panels and verify connections.
• Properly tag new cables/wires with identifying jack numbers.
• Perform minor related work such as cutting/replacing floor/carpet tiles and ensuring work areas are clean.
• Review work assignments with site personnel before quoting.
• Provide not-to-exceed project quotes, including labor hours and materials.
• Submit certified payroll and detailed invoices within project guidelines.

• Journeyman-level electrician status.
• Ability to perform both electrical and data-related work.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work independently.
• Must be able to respond to project walkthrough requests within two business days.
• Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and occasional daytime hours.
• Must pass required background checks.
