Food Service Manager – Price Chopper Supermarkets-Market 32 Summary

Oversees the Food Service operation of the store inclusive of the Food Court area to ensure that all budgeted financial objectives and departmental product quality and presentation standards are achieved to promote optimal opportunity for sales. Ensures that all corporate and state sanitation procedures and regulations are met. Supervises and directs the work of Food Service personnel within the department. Provides fast, friendly, helpful and efficient service to all Price Chopper customers.

• Manage day‑to‑day department operations including supervision of staff, scheduling, and staffing.
• Ensure compliance with Federal and State laws, corporate safety/sanitation policies, dress code and C.H.O.P.S behaviors.
• Hire, train, develop staff and document performance issues with recommendations for disciplinary action.
• Monitor and achieve pre‑established financial results: payroll, budgeted sales, gross profit, CTO, inventory levels.
• Ensure merchandising: display per corporate planograms, maintain shelf & display conditions, manage stock and sale items, proper rotation.
• Maintain cold case logs, hot food logs and cooling logs consistent with store policy.
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures and perform other duties as assigned by management.

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to manage others and demonstrate follow‑through.
• Strong communication skills.
• Basic literacy and basic computer skills.
• Satisfactory performance reviews.

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years of related experience.

• Exposure to hot environment – occasional 1‑3 hours.
• Exposure to cold environment – occasional 1‑3 hours.
• Standing – constant 5‑8 hours.
• Walking – constant 5‑8 hours.
• Grasping/Finger movement & dexterity – constant 5‑8 hours.
• Bending – frequent 3‑5 hours.
• Twisting – frequent 3‑5 hours.
• Pivoting – frequent 3‑5 hours.
• Squatting/Kneeling – occasional 1‑3 hours.
• Pushing/Pulling – occasional up to 50lbs.
