Registered Nurse - Emergency Services - Full Time WEEKEND PLUS Day 7a-7:30p

The position is located at Guthrie in Binghamton, NY. The Registered Nurse (RN) provides professional, comprehensive nursing care for patients in an acute care environment. Accountable for the delivery of coordinated, safe, compassionate, therapeutic, evidence‑based quality care to patients and families, based on individual physical, emotional, and spiritual needs, and appropriate care strategies throughout the lifespan.

Education, License & Certification
  • Registered Nurse in the state of practice.
  • BSN in Nursing preferred.
  • Specialty certification preferred.
  • BLS certification required.
  • ACLS required unit dependent.
Experience

At least one year of RN experience in the state of employment, or less than one year if transitioned from the Newly Licensed Registered Nurse Residency (NLRN) Program. Must meet unit specifications regarding education during employment.

Essential Functions
  • Assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care, coordinate care plans, monitor and communicate patient condition.
  • Advocate for ethical and holistic care, partner in care planning to promote autonomy, dignity, rights, values, and beliefs.
  • Foster a learning environment for patients, families, nursing, and other members of the healthcare team.
  • Accountable for safety, identify and correct problems, integrate evidence and best practice into nursing care.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development, practice at the top of license within legal parameters, promote a culture of inquiry.
  • Lead as change agents using collaborative leadership skills, delegate and coordinate care, collaborate with inter‑professional team members.
  • Participate in planning and presentation of educational programs.
  • Other duties may be assigned as necessary.
Other Duties
  • Proficiency in information technology, electronic health records, communication systems, and necessary equipment.
  • Work with a wide range of staff as part of an interdisciplinary team.
  • Use independent, critical judgment in all aspects of patient care.
  • Demonstrate interpersonal skills with a positive and supportive attitude.
  • Effectively manage multiple responsibilities, urgent responses, and challenging situations.
Pay

The pay range for this position is $39.00 - $54.12 per hour.
