Up to 25k sign‑on bonus available for full‑time RNs! This full‑time night shift RN position is for Seton 1 Cardiac Telemetry at Lourdes Hospital. Seton 1 is a 25‑bed acute care unit in Guthrie Lourdes, Binghamton, NY. The unit handles cardiac diagnoses and serves as the primary stroke unit. It is fast‑paced, offering exposure to a variety of diagnoses.
Position SummaryThe Registered Nurse (RN) provides professional, comprehensive nursing care for patients in an acute care environment. The RN is accountable for delivering coordinated, safe, compassionate, therapeutic, evidence‑based, quality care to patients and families, based on individual physical, emotional, and spiritual needs, and appropriate care strategies throughout the lifespan. The role aligns with the Nurse Practice Act, the ANA Code of Ethics for Nurses, and the scope and standards of practice.

- Registered Nurse in the state of practice.
- BSN in Nursing preferred.
- Any previously agreed effective date for obtaining a bachelor’s degree remains in effect, including those transitioning from the NLRN Program.
- Specialty Certification preferred.
- BLS certification required.
- ACLS unit dependent.
- PALS unit dependent.
- A minimum of one year of experience as a licensed RN, or less if transitioned from the Newly Licensed Registered Nurse Residency (NLRN) Program.
- Meeting unit specifications regarding educational requirements during employment.
- Maintenance of BLS certification.
- ACLS and PALS requirements are unit dependent.
Assesses, diagnoses, plans, implements, and evaluates patients’ care; coordinates and updates the patient plan to achieve goals and optimize outcomes and transitions.
Effectively advocates for ethical and holistic care by partnering in care planning to promote autonomy, dignity, rights, and values.
Fosters a learning environment for patients/families, nursing staff, and other members of the healthcare team, including students.
Accountable for safety, identifies and corrects problems, and integrates evidence and best practices into care; uses data to improve outcomes.
Practices at the top of license within legal parameters; promotes a culture of inquiry, research, and evidence‑based practice.
Demonstrates leadership as a change agent, collaborates with colleagues, delegates, and coordinates care as an equal member of the inter‑professional team.
- Proficiency in information technology, including electronic health records and communication systems.
- Skillful collaboration with a wide range of staff as part of an interdisciplinary team.
- Use of independent, critical judgment in all aspects of patient care delivery.
- Demonstration of interpersonal skills conveying a positive and supportive attitude.
- Ability to manage multiple responsibilities, urgent responses, and challenging situations.
