DutiesAre you ready for a rewarding opportunity? We are seeking an ambitious software engineering professional to join our leadership team. The successful candidate will be responsible to coach, support, train, and motivate team members to ensure a high level of performance. This position will be responsible for personnel management of a software team to include performance assessment, career development guidance, program assignments, merit and salary actions, training plans, staffing and recruiting.
This role is anticipated to be 75% performing in a technical role and 25% coverage performing the duties associated with this position. As the Software Manager you will be responsible for:

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or other technical field or equivalent education and work experience
- Minimum of 10 years software development experience
- Demonstrated success in prior leadership roles, with 3-5 years leadership experience
- Experience supporting military or defense programs
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills
- Strong critical thinking and logical reasoning skills with the ability to solve issues and predict potential programmatic and technical risks
- Strong follow-up skills with attention to detail
- Clear and concise communication in both written and verbal form
- Assertive problem-solving, negotiations, and conflict-resolution skills
- Ability to be diplomatic or firm, when necessary, to move business forward or obtain results
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and tight deadlines with confidence and ease
- Ability to prioritize and organize workload across multiple groups
- Must have proven ability to build trust and inspire others
- Proven experience with the software development lifecycle
- Proven track record of building relationships, fostering collaboration and working cross- functionally with multidisciplinary teams
- Experience using earned value management systems to manage a team s cost and schedule performance
- Active DoD Secret Clearance within a five-year investigation period
- Due to U.S. Government contract requirements, only U.S. citizens are eligible for this role.

- Experience in an Agile/SAFe leadership role (Scrum Master, Product Owner, Release Train Engineer, e.g.)
