Residential Services
Supervisor – Level 2
GRADE 9+ $22.00-$23.81/hr flsa (Non-Exempt) I.
QUALIFICATIONS:Education/Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Services field preferred
- Associates degree in Human Services field required
- Two years’ experience working in human service field
- Some supervisory experience required
Skills
- Good problem‑solving skills
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Good leadership and team‑building skills
- Ability to assign and delegate tasks
- Familiar with computer programs (e.g., Word, Excel)
- Ability to climb stairs, bend, stoop, sit, stand, reach and lift items weighing 40 lbs.
- Ability to legally operate a vehicle in NY State
II. RESPONSIBLE TO:
Manager
III. MAJOR FUNCTIONS:
Understand and implement all agency and program policies and proceduresMaintain compliance with program quality improvement planSubmit required reports and statistical information in a thorough and timely mannerMonitor, evaluate and provide direction to staffEnsure that all staff training requirements are metAssign staff and maintain adequate staff coverage to meet client/program needsConvene periodic staff meetings and submit minutes to ManagerKeep Program Manager informed of all pertinent program informationAssure plans are written and implemented according to program procedure and incorporates person‑centered elementsMonitor that incidents are properly reported and documented per regulationUnderstand and monitor client eligibility for benefits and entitlementsAssure that staff appropriately record all individual contacts and interventions according to program standards.Assure that all individuals receiving services are provided instruction, assistance, interventions, supervision and supports necessary to maintain competence in basic skills and behaviorAssure referrals are processed in a timely mannerCoordinate and document admission and dischargesMonitor expenditures and program accountsMaintain inventory of furnishings and program suppliesRepresent agency and program in the community and with other service providersEstablish and maintain relationships with individuals receiving servicesMonitor and advocate for individual rights as neededRegular and substantial contact with individuals receiving servicesParticipate in and successfully complete all required staff training and development activitiesMaintain regular and substantial contact with individuals receiving servicesPerform other job‑related activities as directed by ManagerIn compliance with all applicable government laws, rules, regulations and standards and all Catholic Charities Policies and Procedures, the duties and responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to the above.
