Registered Nurse, Health Binghamton, NY

Overview

Registered Nurse, Employee Health — up to a $25,000 sign-on bonus. This full-time, weekday role supports the health and well-being of Guthrie Health caregivers with a Monday–Friday schedule.

Location:

Guthrie Lourdes Hospital, Binghamton, NY.

• Administer vaccines and immunizations
• Triaging employee injuries and illnesses
• Manage communicable disease cases and ensure compliance with regulatory health and safety guidelines
• Administer and track immunization requirements and perform related duties to maintain DOH, CDC, JCAHO and OSHA compliance
• Provide nursing care and clerical support within the Employee Health Office (EHO)
• Maintain and update Employee Health policies and procedures; conduct screenings, testing, and related health assessments
• Coordinate and participate in infection control, safety/risk management, and quality improvement activities
• Support wellness programs and health fairs; coordinate flu vaccines and other employee health initiatives
• Prepare reports for managers, administration and committees
• Assist with workers’ compensation processes, return-to-work exams, and light-duty or restricted-duty assignments as appropriate
• Maintain complete, current medical records and ensure confidentiality of employee information
• Assist with employee health-related education, counseling or referrals as needed
• Respond to emergencies and participate in organizational committees as appropriate
• Other duties as assigned in the performance of this position

• Registered Nurse licensed by both the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing and the NYS Board of Nursing
• Completion of Drug Screening Training Certificate, CAQHC Hearing Conservation Technician Training and Fit Test Training within 1 year of hire
• BSN preferred; additional certifications in Occupational Health and Tobacco Cessation Counseling preferred
• 2–3 years of clinical experience in a comparable setting with independent judgment
• Ability to solve complex problems, develop health programs, manage information systems, and supervise an independent departmental function
• Strong ethical standards, discretion, and confidentiality; excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Competence in phlebotomy, specimen handling, N95 respirator fit testing, and related duties
• Experience with immunization programs, TB screening, influenza programs, drug screening (DOT and non-DOT), and exposure management

• Pay range: $31.00 to $45.26 per hour
