Walk In Registered Nurse PRN

Education/Experience

Minimum

Required:

• Graduate of an accredited school of registered nursing.
• At least 1 year experience in health care setting with evidence of having obtained proficiency in those areas emphasized in the Registered Nurse curriculum.

Preferred:

• Previous experience in a walk in / primary care/ specialty care setting.

Minimum

Required:

• Current NY State RN license.
• Documentation of current CPR certification required within 1 week of start of employment.

Preferred:

• Office specific—IE:
  Oncology Cert, Lactation Consultant , Wound / Ostomy Cert

• Work is performed in an office environment that requires working in proximity to other employees and patients.
• The office is air conditioned as well as heated.
• Exposure to equipment cleaning solutions and disinfectants.
• Fast‐paced environment including frequent interruptions.
• Frequent walking, standing and bending.
• Possibility of lifting of patients.
• Mobility may include access through a multi‐level facility, including climbing stairs.
• PPE—Eyewear, Masks, Face shields, Shoe covers, Gloves per UHS Infection Control and CDC guidelines when appropriate.

• All Age Groups

• Clinical—Access to patient information that is not restricted (an example of restricted information is ARU) — Level 3
