Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional engineering teams to establish architecture content and develop solutions that achieve customer needs.
  • Work in a team environment, throughout the lifecycle of the program, using either Waterfall or Agile methodologies.
  • Conduct engineering system development tasks including system requirements analysis, system architecture and design, preliminary design, critical design, system integration support, test procedure development, formal verification, and formal validation.
  • Interpret and analyze customer requirements and CONOPS, defining the system‑level architecture, and allocating subsystem requirements.
  • Perform system‑level analyses, determine and undertake necessary trade studies, define and allocate the functional requirements to subsystem.
  • Understand and implement systems engineering processes on programs and projects.
  • Create and update essential engineering documents including specifications, reports, plans, technical memos, and presentations.
  • Ensure all program requirements are met, program risks are identified and mitigated, and company processes are followed.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
  • BS in Electrical Engineering, or other technical field or equivalent education and work experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years systems experience.
  • Experience supporting military or defense programs.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and the ability to interface with all levels of employees and management.
  • Experience with the full Systems Development Life Cycle.
  • Strong critical thinking and logical reasoning skills with the ability to solve issues and predict potential programmatic and technical risks.
  • Proven track record of building relationships, fostering collaboration and working cross‑functionally with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Experience with requirements derivation, capability development—analyze complex requirements and determine viable solutions.
  • Demonstrated experience interpreting customer needs into achievable requirements or capabilities.
  • Ability to decompose customer requirements into capabilities that can then be decomposed by the development teams.
  • Must have an active DoD Secret or higher clearance that has been granted or renewed in the last 5 years.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain Special Program Access prior to the start of employment.
  • Flexibility to support occasional overtime, weekend work, shift work and site travel (CONUS).
