Field Construction ManagerLocation:
Binghamton, New York. In this role you will work on exciting and challenging projects that make a real impact in the energy and utility sectors.
- Verify quantities of work in the field; this includes what was completed and what is projected.
- Update action log, RFI log, etc.
- Conduct safety observations and inspections.
- Perform quality inspections.
- Conduct and/or participate in the weekly update meeting with the project team and distribute meeting minutes to the team.
- Participate in the contractor’s weekly safety meetings with the project team.
- Complete the weekly report.
- Review the schedule.
- Prepare site meeting minutes.
- Ensure environmental inspections are completed (e.g., 3rd party SWPPP and EFORM-IUSA.
012). - Notify relevant parties (substations/T-Line ROW/Subway System) as applicable to the project.
- Conduct daily AGRN job briefing.
- Copy contractor job briefing.
- Perform perimeter checks of the station at the start and end of each shift, reporting abnormalities to ECC/dispatch, and checking the UI annunciator.
- Take quality photos of the day's work, label them with the same date, and upload into PW for the daily report.
- Collaborate with CM or DC to ensure photos are uploaded to PW as part of the weekly report.
- Assist project contractors in ensuring emergency access is known and easily identifiable for off-road work sites or remote locations.
- Conduct EHS orientation sessions.
- Escort site visitors and monitor them.
- Manage ITPs (Inspection Test Plans).
- Handle RFIs.
- Process DCNs and FCNs (Design Change Notification and Field Change Notification).
- Process PDMs and NDMs (Proposed Design Modification and Notice of Design Modification).
- Track non-conformances and ensure they are uploaded to PW.
- Update redline drawings.
- Report incidents.
- Report spills.
- Manage material deliveries on site.
- Handle haul/disposal manifests and shipping papers (including spoils).
- Verify drawing transmittals against provided drawings.
- Maintain on-site specifications and update as received.
- Track daily quantities of work completed (PayCU and quantity) and include them on the daily report.
- Maintain general organization of all site documentation.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Construction, Structural Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 4 years of construction experience, with at least 2 years in substation building or rebuilding.
- OSHA 30‑Hour Health and Safety certification required.
- Contractor management experience.
- Master’s degree preferred.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Local experience near Binghamton, NY preferred.
Pay Range: $50.00 – $55.00 per hour
