Job Description

Title: Staff Assistant (SL-2)
Salary: $51,761
Location: Binghamton, NY
Reports To: Associate Registrar, Student Services and Transfer Credit Specialist
The role coordinates closely with campus partners to plan and execute the timely distribution of student , particularly in support of Orientation and new student onboarding. It also assists with front-desk, phone, and email service and supports core Registrar functions as needed.

Core Responsibilities
  • Oversee the University's student identification card program, including planning, coordination, and ongoing operational support for  printing and replacement services. Collaborate with campus stakeholders to establish timelines and processes for student  distribution, including Orientation and onboarding activities.
  • In partnership with Information Technology Services, coordinate the resolution of technical or system-related issues.
  • Maintain transfer articulation tables in collaboration with academic advising offices and academic departments.
  • Assist the Associate Registrar with customer service planning and support for front-desk, phone, and email operations.
  • Support registrar operations and student record processes as needed.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Experience in a Registrar's Office, student services, or a related field.
  • Effective organizational skills with attention to detail and follow-through.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with multiple campus offices and external partners.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
Preferred
  • Familiarity with student information systems and related technologies.
  • Experience supporting transfer articulation, academic records, or customer service operations.
  • Experience contributing to service planning or operational coordination.
