Position: Summer Youth Employment Mentors 2026
Location: City of Binghamton

July 6–August 6, 2026

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

Monitor youth (ages 14–20) in a two-day instructional setting and a five-week work placement. Mentors will travel to various work sites to work with the youth, provide supportive feedback, and reinforce positive work behaviors. Mentors will assist the teachers and site supervisors to ensure participants are developing personal and job-related skills that are transferable to post-program education, training and employment.

  • Three (3) Professional References Required - These must be filled out in the section of your application where requested.
  • A copy of your diploma may be uploaded in place of transcripts if necessary

REQUIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Graduation from high school or possession of a high school equivalency diploma (GED)
  • Recent post-secondary experience — preferably college
  • Applicants must be flexible and have the ability to work with at-risk students.
