United Health Services is seeking a Board Certified, or Board Eligible Emergency Medicine trained, or ABEM physician, to join our Emergency Medicine Department. United Health Services Hospitals is a teaching hospital consisting of UHS Wilson Medical Center, which is a Level II Trauma Center, and designated Stroke Center, and UHS Binghamton General Hospital, which is a full-service hospital, housing a designated Crisis Center.
Annual combined ED patient visits are approximately 60,000. We have two teams covering both hospitals and they are located approximately seven miles apart.
There are opportunities for teaching residents and medical students from Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, as well as the ability to participate in clinical research. Competitive starting salary, excellent benefits and malpractice insurance provided.
LOCATIONBinghamton, NY is located 2.5 hours north of New York City and 1 hour south from Syracuse, NY. A progressive college community town that offers a large healthcare presence, a safe living environment, and a diverse community with nearby lakes, ski resorts, golf courses, wineries, a symphony orchestra and an opera company.
COMPENSATIONThe position includes a competitive starting salary of $499,200, plus a highly competitive sign on bonus, annual bonus incentives, moving expenses, and a vast array of employment benefits including a robust retirement plan.
