Part-time 26 hours per week - Monday – Thursday, 8:30am – 3:30pm
This position is responsible for:
Receives, organizes, and distributes supplies of food; maintains records and reports of services provided; maintains inventory of food; assesses client needs; schedules and coordinates delivery of food.
Key Responsibilities- Meets with clients, reviews applications, and checks the master card file to determine clients’ eligibility to receive assistance; provides referrals to clients not eligible to receive assistance.
- Prepares food bags according to the number of family members.
- Prepares accurate and complete records of assistance provided to clients.
- Prepares and maintains statistical records representing the amount and type of services provided.
- Fills food orders for clients.
- Monitors expiration dates on all food in the pantry; discards outdated or damaged food.
- Receives and processes donated food items; obtains needed food items from the kitchen and canteen as needed.
- Unloads boxes and containers of food purchases from USDA and other food donations that may be heavy in weight.
- Recruits, trains, and supervises volunteers loading and distributing food to clients.
- Determines the appropriate amount of food to order for the program; maintains and organizes an adequate inventory of food and supplies for the Food Program; ensures the supply meets the needs of the program.
- Ability to meet attendance requirements.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate the English language is required.
- Ability to communicate the Spanish language is a plus.
- Ability to perform continuous walking, stooping, standing, and climbing.
- Ability to lift heavy objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Work is performed in a normal office environment where there are little or no physical discomforts associated with changes in weather or discomforts associated with noise, dust, dirt, and the like.

- six months experience coordinating social service projects, OR
- any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
- Valid Driver’s License and eligible driver status under TSA Driver Program.
