US Got People (USGP) is seeking a Phlebotomy Technician to support our military service members, their families, and veterans at the Blood Donor Center at Keesler Air Force Base. This role plays a vital part in ensuring the safe and effective collection of blood and blood components in support of military healthcare operations.

Schedule:
Monday–Friday, 8-hour shifts (plus 1-hour lunch) scheduled between 7:00 AM – 6:00 PM in the main laboratory (non-blood drive days). - Blood Drive
Schedule:
On blood drive days, shifts may occur between 3:00 AM – 12:00 AM
. There are approximately 2–4 blood drives per week
. - Travel Requirements:
- Travel for mobile blood drives is required on a Temporary Duty (TDY)
- Drives may occur in-state or out-of-state
, primarily at military installations
.
- Education: High school diploma or GED. Completion of a phlebotomy course or equivalent on-the-job training (OJT) is
- Certification: Certified or registered through ASCP or
- Licensure: Must obtain a Mississippi State Class D – Light Commercial License within 3 months of hire.
- Experience:
- At least 1 year of phlebotomy experience within the last 2
- Candidates with less than 1 year may be considered if they have prior military service, National Guard/Reserve time, or internship experience at this facility.
- Hepatitis B (series and titer)
- Tdap (Tetanus, Diphtheria, Pertussis)
- MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella)
- Varicella (Chickenpox)
- TB test
- Seasonal Influenza vaccine
- COVID-19 vaccine (as applicable)
- Perform whole blood collections and related
- Engage in donor screening, briefing, registration, vitals, phlebotomy, and post-donation care.
- Set up, clean, and maintain equipment and
- Respond to donor reactions and emergencies in a safe and professional
- Maintain confidentiality of donor records and ensure data
- Ensure compliance with all DHA, FDA, and AABB
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized
- Provide excellent customer service and donor
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to meet mission
- Travel to mobile blood drives and transport supplies
- Operate government vehicles in accordance with DoDM 36 regulations.
- Participate in training, continuing education, and quality assurance
- Support center initiatives such as safety, infection control, and chemical
Must be able to lift and move equipment weighing up to 40 lbs.
