Transportation Assistant

Description

Responsible for the transport of residents to appointments and activities as instructed and scheduled.

• Obtain appropriate resident information and documentation for appointments.
• Prepare resident for appointment if needed.
• Communicate with appropriate individuals related to arrival and departure times in order to facilitate scheduling.
• Communicate with the appropriate staff in charge regarding conversations from appointments.
• Facilitate communication between outside offices and facility.
• Communicate any vehicle maintenance issues to administrator and or maintenance supervisor.
• Assist in resident care as needed.
• Be aware of safety procedures related to transporting of residents.
• Monitor residents during transport.
• Return documentation to staff after appointment.
• Keep a courteous attitude with residents, family members and office staff.

• High-School Diploma or equivalency required.

• Valid and unrestricted driver’s license. Clean driving record.
• Must be Certified Nursing Assistant

• Good verbal communication skills.
• Customer service focused.
• Outgoing and energetic personality.
• Familiar with the driving routes and location of local medical facilities is preferred
