Veterinary Technician Job | Billings, MT

Shiloh Veterinary Hospital is seeking a Full-Time Veterinary Technician to join our collaborative, team-driven hospital on the west side of Billings, Montana. This role is ideal for a technician or experienced veterinary assistant who already has hands-on clinical experience and is looking to grow within a supportive, communicative, and values-driven practice.

We are an AAHA-accredited, Cat Friendly hospital with a strong focus on preventive care, client education, and team-based medicine. Our clientele allows us to practice high-quality medicine while prioritizing education, compassion, and long-term patient care.

Veterinary Technician Responsibilities

* Assist veterinarians with exams, diagnostics, treatments, and procedures

* Support surgery days and patient recovery (including anesthesia monitoring, based on experience and training)

* Rotate between appointments and treatment/surgery support

* Educate clients on preventive care, treatment plans, and follow-up care

* Communicate clearly and compassionately with clients

* Support hospital flow by assisting across departments as needed

* Maintain accurate medical records and uphold hospital protocols

Schedule

* Full-time (38-40 hours/week)

* Four 10-hour shifts

* Monday-Friday: 7:00am-6:00pm

* Saturday: 8:00am-12:00pm (rotating, typically 2 Saturdays/month)

Compensation

* $15-$18/hour, depending on experience and scope of skills

Qualifications

* Veterinary technician or veterinary assistant experience required

* Comfortable working in both appointments and treatment/surgery areas

* Strong client communication and education skills

* Team-oriented mindset and willingness to help wherever needed
