The Montana Women's Prison (MWP) houses over 200 inmates, most of whom will return to their communities upon release. As a Registered Nurse you will provide medical care and rehabilitation support to this population, contributing to lower recidivism and improved long-term outcomes.

• Conduct initial health assessments and triage for over 200 inmates.
• Provide sick call services, medication administration, and mental health support.
• Deliver urgent and emergent care, chronic disease management, and infection control.
• Lead quality improvement initiatives and discharge/transition planning.
• Maintain proper body mechanics and lifting procedures while walking, bending, kneeling, stretching, and standing.
• Respond to physical, mental, and emotional demands while ensuring personal health and safety.

• Require ability to lift or move up to 20 pounds frequently, and occasionally 50 pounds.
• Exposed to chemicals and infectious diseases.
• Must hear clearly on a telephone and in direct contact with patients and coworkers.
• Vision requirements include close, distance, color, peripheral, depth, and focus adjustment.

• Licensed to practice as an RN in the State of Montana.
• Alternative combinations of education and experience may be considered on a case‑by‑case basis.

Salary: $49.19 per hour
