Maintenance Mechanic
role is $24.00

- Troubleshoot equipment problems and perform immediate repairs and preventative maintenance on equipment
- Overhaul and install new equipment
- Rebuild and fabricate parts
- Perform facility maintenance and maintain clean and safe work area
- Generate parts request to ensure adequate inventory.
- Generate and complete work orders as assigned
- Perform equipment change-overs and production line set ups
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Ability to follow equipment manufacturer’s specifications.
- Ability to read and understand electrical schematics and diagrams.
- Mechanical skills.
- Ability to diagnose problems and formulate solutions on production machinery and building mechanical systems.
- Electrical problem diagnosis and repair.
- Welding skills, construction abilities, and plumbing and mechanical system repair.
- Adaptability – Ability to adapt to change in the workplace.
- Communication – Ability to effectively, clearly and concisely communicate verbally and in writing.
- Decision Making – Display willingness to make critical decisions while following company practices.
- Enthusiasm – Ability to bring energy to the day to day as well as long-term tasks and plans.
- Judgment – Display willingness to make timely decisions and exhibit sound and accurate judgment.
- Planning & Organizing – Ability to prioritize and plan work activities, use time efficiently and develop realistic action plans.

- Refrigeration/HVAC Trade or Vocational certification preferred.
- 1-5 years of industrial maintenance experience required.
- 1+ years of mechanical/electrical experience preferred.
- Prior diagnostic/troubleshooting and preventative maintenance experience preferred.
- Previous experience within high-speed industrial environment preferred.
- Demonstrated mechanical and technical aptitude.
- Basic computer skills.
- Programmable Logic Control (PLC) knowledge preferred.
- Continuing education to maintain any certifications held and a current working knowledge of new technologies related to our business.

- Work environment; must be able to work standing for long periods of time. Maintenance work involves but is not limited to, heights, confined space, and outdoors.
- Ability to lift, push, pull, pry up to 75 lbs.
- Work involves walking, talking and hearing, using hands to handle, feel or operate objects. Vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to focus when working on small components.
- Hearing protection dependent on specified areas.
- Face shield and gloves mandatory while filling CO2.
- Hair nets required while working in production area.
- Safety glasses
- Welding hood and other welding related protective gear
- Fall protection
- Hard hat
- The noise level in the work environment can be moderately noisy due to manufacturing and/or warehousing equipment in operation. Hearing protection is required.
- Some areas are slippery due to the production process.
- Warehouse area has heavy forklift traffic.
