Shop Crane Technician

Shop Crane Technician role at MGX Equipment Services in Billings, Montana. Reports to the Service Manager.

This position will be located at Billings, Montana branch for MGX Equipment Services.

• $4,500 sign‑on bonus payable after 90 days continuous service; eligible for Tool Reimbursement Program up to $1,500 per calendar year.

• Read hydraulic and electrical schematics.
• Preventative maintenance including oil changes and light equipment repair.
• Light troubleshooting of electrical and hydraulic systems.
• Mechanical background with related experience in electrical and hydraulics.
• Self‑starter with initiative to advance.
• Clean background and demonstrated safe work habits.
• Provide excellent customer service.
• Strong work ethic and excellent organizational skills.
• Basic set of hand tools required.

• High School Diploma or GED with minimum of two (2) years experience as a mechanic/technician; vocational training may be considered.
• Ability to read both electrical and hydraulic schematics.
• Duties and responsibilities may change as required by manager.

This is a full‑time position with typical hours 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.; overtime and weekend work may be required based on business conditions.

Physical demands include exposure to extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors, loud noises, occasional sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, frequent lifting of up to 40 pounds, and specific vision requirements.
