Primary Responsibilities
  • Provide technical leadership to the delivery of Dam, Levee, and Civil Works projects in Montana.
  • Engage throughout the project cycle, including project capture strategy, upfront risk review, staff assignments, and project delivery.
  • Lead project management, business development, planning, organizing, and coordinating entry- and mid-level professionals.
General Responsibilities

As a leader, the Dams, Levees, and Civil Works Project Manager works with other managerial staff to oversee project completion efficiently. The Project Manager oversees each phase of the project delivery cycle to ensure the team meets company specifications, industry standards of care, and complies with federal and state regulations.

Specific duties include:

  • Manage projects with existing clients for Dam and Levee projects and build on current program.
  • Further develop the Dam, Levee and Flood Risk Management Program in Montana grooming additional projects and clients that will drive growth.
  • Plan, execute, and complete tasks on assigned projects independently and collaboratively. Review design and construction submittals for compliance with applicable codes, design standards, project requirements, and contract documents.
  • Define investigations and design activities for dams, levees, and hydraulic structures.
  • Involve in communication with both internal and external clients.
  • Lead technical analyses, preparation of proposals and reports, and coordination with designers and contractors.
  • Engage in supporting development of technical scope of works and fee proposals, and responses to RFPs related to dams, levees, and civil works services.
  • Make independent decisions and recommendations that impact a project’s activities and direction.
  • Serve as a technical expert, leader, and authority for projects involving dams, levees, and civil works engineering.
  • Be knowledgeable of today’s technical standards, including but not limited to USACE, FERC, US , etc.
  • Exhibit excellent communication skills, ability to work collaboratively with team members and clients, and demonstrate expertise in managing complex tasks simultaneously.
  • Identify key hires and strategies with Area and Business Group representatives to recruit new expertise.
  • Lead critical projects or (;;) serve as engineering lead driving technical delivery in cooperation with the project manager.
  • Report to the Market Sector Lead to deliver quality work to our clients.
  • Coordinate responsibilities to the Dams, Levees, and Civil Works Business Class team to ensure consistency with risk management goals.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • 7 years related experience.
  • Minimum of(bottom) 2 years project management experience.
  • Ability to interact with various design teams, with excellent organizational, project management, and communication skills (written and verbal).
