Overview

Specialty Equipment (Food Technician) – Finance. Join Walmart’s dynamic local and regional team to maintain and repair food equipment and store facilities.

• Execute routine maintenance, inspections, cleaning, and repairs on Walmart food equipment and store fixtures under the General Maintenance Manager.
• Develop and adhere to scheduled preventative maintenance programs.
• Use the work order management system to document reactive repair activities and support store associates.
• Respond promptly to emergency maintenance calls.
• Train store associates on equipment care, cleaning, and safety requirements.
• Document all repair and maintenance activities in logs and work orders.
• Maintain safety and proper functionality of all serviced equipment.

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 18 years old – must maintain a clean driving record.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., work at heights, stand/ sit for long periods, work in varied temperatures.
• 1 year experience or 2 years total work experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related trade.
• Technical expertise – diagnosing and repairing commercial food equipment.
• Customer service and clear communication.
• Adaptable, teamwork oriented, and servant‑leadership mindset.

• Salary range: $45,760 – $83,200. Current $2,000 sign‑on bonus (select locations).
• Full‑time – 401(k) with company match.
