Responsible for performing preventative and regular maintenance and repairs to all areas of the hotel to ensure our guests have an outstanding stay. Additional responsibilities include assisting housekeeping teams, maintaining pool area, maintaining a clean and organized working area. Also, responsible for the security of hotel inventory and assets such as tools, supplies, furniture, fixtures, and equipment.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Financial Returns:

• Participate in the preparation of the departmental operating budget. Monitor and control expenses with a focus on energy management, preventative maintenance, and capital planning.
• Lead hotel renovations and maintenance projects. Negotiate contracts and ensure timely completion of projects within budget.

People and Team Work:

• Provide mentoring, coaching, and regular feedback to help manage conflict and improve employee performance.
• Educate and train employees on compliance and standards regarding safety regulations. Ensure team is properly trained and has the tools necessary to perform tasks safely.
• Communicate with all departments to stay informed of maintenance needs and ensure timely responses to guests.
• Responsible to know, understand, and fulfill the Inn Trusted Mission Statement.
• Create guest satisfaction by providing fast, friendly and genuine hospitality.
• Respond to all emergency situations in accordance with established policies and procedures.
• Responsible for maintaining hotel key security.

Job Functions:

• Assist with troubleshooting and repairs of building and installing systems to include: plumbing systems, laundry equipment, roofs, drains, shop, grounds equipment, swimming pool and HVAC.
• Carry out preventative maintenance program to ensure facility is maintained.
• Clean, lubricate and service a wide variety of pumps, valves, pneumatic controls, and electrical, mechanical.
• Possess competent knowledge of the use and care of tools and equipment used in facility and ground maintenance.
• Maintain and operate safety/fire systems and smoke detectors.
• Perform plumbing, electrical, carpentry and snow removal when necessary.

Responsible Business:

• Maintain and order parts and supplies in a timely and efficient manner while minimizing waste and maintain “green” initiatives.
• Listen, apologize with empathy, find a solution, and follow through when resolving guest problems.
• Follow the lost and found program.
• May supervise a small maintenance team.

Physical Requirements:

• Walking and standing required throughout the entire shift.
• Reaching, bending, carrying, stooping throughout the entire shift.
• Lifting up to 100 pounds.
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and how to safely use them.
• Report safety hazards, accidents, and injuries immediately.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay:
From $16.00 per hour
