GIS Enterprise System Administrator

Develop and administer enterprise level Geographic Information System (GIS) databases, web based and mobile enabled applications, web services, systems and products for Yellowstone County. Responsible for maintaining a functional library of enterprise GIS processes, services and databases, as well as maintaining and administering enterprise software such as ArcGIS Server and ArcGIS Online.

• Enterprise GIS Systems administration includes web/mobile application configuration, development, employee training and administration of ArcGIS Online environments.
• Maintenance of Enterprise user named accounts.
• Development of mobile applications for field workers to collect data.
• Automate routine enterprise GIS systems administration processes using Python or related tools.
• Database development, management and administration design; build and administer enterprise level GIS databases that support department processes.
• Geospatial System Administration program and administer services utilizing Server GIS software, including ArcGIS Server, ArcGIS Online, Map Server, ArcSDE, PostGIS, and other technologies in order to meet department goals.

• Graduation from a college or university with a Bachelor’s degree in Geographic Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or closely related field.
• One (1) year experience working with GIS, ARC/INFO and GPS information systems or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Any equivalent combination of experience and training totaling five (5) years.
• Enterprise System management experience desired.

• Valid driver’s license issued by the State of Montana.
