AWARE is looking for the right person to join the team as a treatment service specialist. The support we provide helps adults, children and families become active, vital members of their community while focusing on personal growth. Responsibilities
  • Provide direct services to children with special needs in the school setting.
  • Collaborate with parents, teachers, and school personnel to develop and implement individualized plans.
  • Communicate behavioral and emotional observations to the treatment team and participate in team‑building meetings and activities.
  • Utilize a wrap‑around approach to ensure the child's success in both the school and home setting.
  • Assist youth in developing coping skills, social/​recreational skills, independent living skills, mediation and conflict resolution skills, and problem‑solving skills.
Salary

AWARE treatment service specialists earn $19.75 - $21.92 per hour.

Requirements
  • BS/BA Degree in a Human Services–related field is preferred; an equivalency based on documented work history, education and volunteer experience will be accepted.
  • Computer literacy, including the ability to navigate, record, and use performance‑based software and an electronic medical records system.
  • Interpersonal oral and written communication skills for teamwork, accurate observation reporting, learning resident care methods, and following oral and written instructions.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required, along with past employment experience.
  • Valid Montana driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Acceptable criminal and protective services background check.
