You’ll serve as a mentor and role model, guiding adolescents in developing positive coping skills, daily living habits, and healthy relationships. WhatYou’ll Do
- Implement individualized treatment plans and provide feedback on progress.
- Maintain a safe, positive, and therapeutic setting at all times.
- Teach coping, social, and daily living skills through structured activities.
- Build strong connections with families, caseworkers, and community agencies.
- Facilitate recreational and psycho‑educational groups that inspire growth.
- Complete treatment documentation accurately and on time.
Starting salary range: $19.21‑$21.62 per hour
, based on education and relevant experience. This reflects steps 1‑5 of an 11‑step pay schedule. YBGR offers ongoing training, opportunities for advancement, and a supportive, mission‑driven team culture.

- Experience in youth care or mental health preferred — but heart and commitment matter most!
- 21 years old or older.
- Criminal / Child Abuse Clearance:
Must pass criminal record and child abuse registry background check as required by the State of Montana. - High School Diploma or GED.
- Empathy and Compassion:
Ability to empathize with the struggles and emotions of youth experiencing mental health challenges, and to provide compassionate care. - Communication
Skills:
Ability to communicate effectively with youth, their families, and other members of the treatment team to facilitate treatment and support plans. - Boundaries and Professionalism:
Understanding of professional boundaries and ethical guidelines in mental health care, including maintaining confidentiality and respecting patient autonomy. - Documentation
Skills:
Ability to maintain accurate and detailed records of youth’s interactions, treatment plans, and progress notes in compliance with YBGR requirements. - Self‑motivation, self‑discipline, and diligence with forward thinking.
- Team orientation: ability to think of the team over self and define success collectively.
- Effective interpersonal communication to build and maintain relationships, collaborate with colleagues, resolve conflicts, and navigate social situations.
- Values:
Faith, Integrity, Relationship, Stewardship – defined as explained. - Willingness and ability to obtain certification in First Aid/CPR and Violence Intervention Prevention.
