Job Summary:
The Sonographer performs ultrasound procedures to obtain diagnostic images per physician orders, ensuring high-quality patient care. Responsibilities include patient preparation and positioning, equipment operation, image evaluation, and submission of completed studies to the Radiologist for interpretation.
Key Responsibilities:
• Operate and maintain ultrasound imaging equipment
• Educate, position, and assist patients during exams
• Ensure accurate, timely, and complete ultrasound studies
• Follow imaging orders and infection control protocols
• Evaluate image quality and submit required documentation
• Communicate effectively with patients, staff, and providers
• Maintain supplies and follow sterile technique
• Safely transfer patients and manage multiple tasks efficiently
