Full-Time or Part-time availability - Schedule: Monday‑Friday; 8am‑5pm; occasional evening and Saturday clinic coverage
- Wage Range: $20.32 to $25.35 hourly; based on experience and internal equity
The position performs administrative and certain clinical duties. Administrative duties may include scheduling appointments, maintaining medical records, billing, and coding for insurance purposes. Clinical duties may include taking and recording vital signs and medical histories, preparing patients for examination, drawing blood, and administering medications as directed.
Essential Functions / Major Duties and Responsibilities- Medical Assistant Services (95%)
- Communicate with patients and collect and document information
- Record patients’ medical history, vital statistics, and other related information
- Schedule a variety of appointments and keep calendars up to date
- Maintain and prepare patient charts and records
- Ensure all forms and documents are completed and forwarded as needed
- Prepare rooms for examination, including setting up instruments and materials
- Clean and sanitize rooms and equipment
- Maintain supplies and supply rooms by ordering inventory and organizing
- Perform general office duties such as answering phones, making copies, completing forms, etc.
- Conduct population health outreach for assigned providers’ patient panels
- Perform point‑of‑care testing as needed
- Answer patient questions and refer when needed
- Recognize and educate staff that managing patient care is a team effort involving physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, nurses, medical assistants, educators, front desk staff, schedulers, etc.

- High School diploma or equivalent
- Medical Assistant certification or
- 1 year of patient care experience
- Any combination of experience and training that provides equivalent scope of knowledge, skills, and abilities

- Knowledge of the information and techniques used to diagnose and treat human illness and injuries
