We specialize in Civil/Site, Environmental, Land Development, Mining, Municipal, NEPA, Oil & Gas, Planning, Roads/Bridges, Surveying, Water/Wastewater and Water Resources services. Position Summary

WWC Engineering is seeking motivated Civil and Environmental Engineering students to join our Summer 2026 Internship Program
.

As an Engineering Intern
, you will collaborate with engineers, surveyors, geologists, and technical staff on meaningful projects that support communities across our service regions.

This internship provides hands‑on experience in engineering design, construction inspection, environmental assessment, surveying, research, regulatory compliance, and technical writing
. You will gain exposure to real‑world projects and develop skills that will prepare you for your professional career.

Internship Highlights Hands‑On Learning
  • Assist engineering, surveying, and other staff members with day‑to‑day project work.
  • Perform preliminary designs and calculations under the guidance of a Project Manager.
  • Learn Autodesk Civil3D and other design software applications.
  • Research and summarize design concepts, regulations, and technical information.
  • Collect and document field data, including construction inspections, surveying, soil and water sampling, and site photos.
  • Contribute to technical reports and regulatory permit applications.
  • Support compliance with environmental and regulatory standards.

Requirements Education & Credentials

Current student enrolled in a 2‑year or 4‑year program in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Transportation Engineering, Surveying, Computer‑Aided Drafting, Environmental Sciences, or related fields.

Skills & Qualities
  • Strong problem‑solving, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to multi‑task and adapt to changing project needs.
  • Positive attitude, professional demeanor, and enthusiasm for teamwork.
  • General understanding of engineering and/or surveying concepts.
Physical & Travel Requirements

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, and walk. The employee is required to talk and to hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.

The work environment is an office setting, but intermittent field work is expected. The noise level in the office environment is usually moderate, while noise on construction sites may be high and require the use of hearing protection. Pre‑employment drug & alcohol testing is required.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

$22 to $25 per hour anticipated hiring range may vary based on skills, experience, and qualifications. The pay range listed for this position is based on the anticipated base compensation at the time of the posting. Paid housing provided for length of internship.
