Business Systems Manager

Electrical Consultants, Inc. (ECI) is a leading power engineering consultant firm that provides engineering, system planning and studies, technical consultation, project management, surveying, environmental planning, commissioning/testing and construction services to electric utilities, energy developers and industrials throughout the U.S. Our experience includes system voltages from 4.16 kV through 765 kV.

ECI has an immediate opening for a Business Systems Manager. The Business Systems Manager serves as a senior technical contributor within the Business Systems group. This role does not include direct people management responsibilities. Instead, the position provides deep technical expertise, system architecture support, and advanced data and reporting capabilities across ECI's business systems. In addition, this role is expected to provide informed leadership in the responsible and effective application of Artificial Intelligence (AI) within ECIs business systems environment.

The position evaluates, pilots, and applies AI‑enabled capabilities—such as Large Language Models (LLMs), AI‑assisted analytics, and automation agents—where appropriate to improve data accessibility, reporting efficiency, system support, and decision‑making, while ensuring alignment with company governance, security, and data integrity standards.

Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field. Minimum of 7 years of progressively responsible experience in business systems, data management, or application development.

Demonstrated expertise in relational database design and administration, including advanced SQL development. Strong experience with document management systems such as Egnyte or equivalent platforms. Experience with cloud‑based data warehouses such as Snowflake or equivalent.

Experience with business intelligence and analytics tools such as Sigma or equivalent. Proven ability to develop internal applications, data interfaces, and reporting solutions that support management decision‑making. Strong understanding of data governance, system integration, and lifecycle management principles.

Additional desired qualifications:

• Manage API development and ETL pipelines between operational systems and the data warehouse.
• Strong Project Management approach to scope, schedule, communicate to stakeholders, and execute simultaneous business systems initiatives.
