Qualifications
* you will bring to the table:

  • ABET (Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology) accredited degree in Civil Engineering.
  • 10+ years of job-related experience.
  • Licensed Professional Engineer in the state in which Cushing Terrell is hiring.
  • Current NCEES (National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying) license.
  • Strong ability and enthusiasm to build and lead a regional civil engineering team and collaborate closely with other design disciplines.
  • Highly skilled at project and program management and delivery.
  • Proven experience in land development, transportation, and municipal civil engineering.
  • Established business development network and skillset at the local and regional levels.
  • Expert knowledge and skills of AutoCAD Civil 3D.
  • Proficient with Water

    CAD or equivalent modeling software, Autodesk Storm and Sanitary Analysis, ArchGIS, Bluebeam, and the Microsoft Office Suite, including Teams.
  • Proficient technical writer.

  • Build a local civil engineering team and be responsible for providing mentorship and professional development opportunities.
  • Prepare fee proposals, engineering reports, cost estimates, field reports, and schedules.
  • Negotiate, prepare, and execute contracts.
  • Provide oversight and quality control for the preparation of project calculations, plans, reports, and specifications.
  • Provide expert knowledge of codes and jurisdictional processes.
  • Prepare preliminary budgets and/or cost estimates for projects.
  • Schedule projects and staff resources.
  • Be a resource/advisor for continuing education topics/needs.
  • Identify and develop market and new business opportunities.
  • Lead project interviews for specific projects.
  • Develop and retain client relationships as well as internal team and leadership relationships.

* The majority of the time a person in this role will be sitting in an office with limited physical requirements. This may require individuals to bend, stretch, twist, and reach. On occasion, individuals will be required to visit a client site to perform site verifications and field surveys.

Your pay

The salary for this position is based on the location/s posted. If you are a candidate living outside of (this region/these regions), we still encourage you to apply as salary ranges may differ across states/cities/job markets.

  • Expected Range*: $90,000 to $120,000
  • The position is also eligible for an annual performance bonus

* The actual salary offered for the role will be determined based on a variety of factors including but not limited to; years of experience, licensure status, location, level of job-related knowledge, and other job-related factors (as permitted by law).
