Waterfront Division - Project Engineer

WATERFRONT DIVISION - PROJECT ENGINEER (Regular Full Time)

Location: HDCC

Hawaiian Dredging Construction Company is looking for a Project Engineer with marine, waterfront, foundation or civil construction experience. The Project Engineer administers the prime contract for the project, administers all subcontractors for the project, performs materials controls and is responsible for other duties as assigned.

• Develop Work Plans, Work Schedules (three week look-ahead), Suretrack/Primavera P6 knowledge.
• Prepare Submittals, Requests for Information (RFIs), Billings.
• Review shop drawings, submittals from Subs. for compliance with plans and specifications.
• Perform contract administration. Prepare owner notifications and correspondence.
• Conduct weekly meetings with Subs. Prepare meeting minutes and agenda.

• Minimum 5 years of experience in construction of piers, wharves, bulkheads including piledriving, sheet piledriving, formwork, steel reinforcement placement and concrete placement for marine structures.
• Knowledge of dredging, rock revetment/dyke construction as well as utility (water, sewer, electrical) installation for waterfront/marine structures.

• Communication:
  Write, speak and communicate fluently in English.

  Microsoft Outlook/Word/Excel, Bluebeam, AutoCAD, Suretrack/Primavera P6.
• Bachelor of Science degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering from a four-year college or university.
