Pediatric Intensivist

Position Summary

The Division of Pediatric Critical Care at the University of Utah School of Medicine is hiring Pediatric Intensivists in Billings, Montana. The role is a faculty appointment in the Division of Pediatric Critical Care, Department of Pediatrics, and involves clinical duties in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) cent’s Hospital and occasional call at Primary Children’s Hospital (PCH) via telemedicine or short clinical visits.

• Provide all clinical care for the PICU (5 beds) and associated 11‑bed pediatric ward.
• Cover pediatric ward patients during weekday hours.
• Share in unrestricted nighttime call for pediatric intensive care patients.
• Travel 2–3 weeks to PCH in Salt Lake City for clinical time or telemedicine services.
• Engage in scholarly work, including education, investigation, administration/service, and advocacy as part of the academic appointment.

• Board‑Qualified/Board‑Certified in Pediatrics and Pediatric Critical Care Medicine.
• Eligibility for a faculty appointment on the Clinical or Tenure track at the academic level commensurate with experience.
