As an Altana FCU Teller, you’ll be the welcoming face of our credit union—building meaningful connections with members while supporting their financial well‑being. You’ll process day‑to‑day transactions like deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, and check cashing, all while delivering friendly, solution‑focused service.

Behind the scenes, you’ll help keep our operations running smoothly by balancing the ATM, processing night drop and mail, scanning documents, and managing coin bags. Every task you complete directly contributes to an empowering, seamless experience for our members.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Member Transactions & Service – 80%
    Deliver compassionate, accurate, and efficient service for deposits, withdrawals, payments, and inquiries—helping members feel supported and valued.

  • Processing Night Drop & Mail – 10%
    Ensure timely and secure handling of member submissions.

  • Balancing ATM – 5%
    Maintain a well-functioning ATM that members can count on.

  • Scanning, Coin Handling & Other Tasks – 5%
    Support daily branch operations with attention to detail.

  • Stay informed about credit union products, policies, and regulations so you can exhibit expertise to members with accurate information.
  • Follow all security, privacy, and compliance guidelines to protect our members and our team.
  • Bring professionalism, positivity, and respect to every interaction—whether with members, coworkers, or vendors.
  • Participate in team meetings and required training, contributing to a revolutionary, continuously improving workplace.
  • Be punctual, prepared, and dependable—your team and our members count on you.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Up to 12 months of teller or cash-handling experience.
Skills & Competencies
  • Basic understanding of banking operations.
  • Strong analytical skills to help resolve member concerns with care.
  • Ability to use office equipment like computers, phones, and copiers.
  • Clear and professional communication skills in person and in writing.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and work collaboratively in a synergistic, team-centered environment.
