Job Title: Children’s Residential Support Worker
Location: Newcastle, Durham, Billingham, Hartlepool
Salary: From £12.50 per hour (unqualified) + excellent overtime and sleep‑in pay
Working Hours: 24/36/48‑hour contracts, 12‑hour shifts (days & nights)

Paid at £73 per sleep if required
Service: Children’s Home
Service Users: YPs with SEMH, Autism, and Learning Disabilities
Qualifications
Required:
Level 3 Children’s Residential Care preferred or willingness to complete (funded if needed)

The Home- Ofsted Rating: Good or Outstanding
- Locations: Newcastle, Durham, Billingham, Hartlepool
- Type of YPs: Social, emotional, and mental health needs; autism; learning disabilities
We are seeking passionate, resilient, and empathetic individuals who can support young people in their day‑to‑day lives. You will help young people rebuild their childhoods, navigate challenges, and celebrate achievements. You will also support the smooth running of the home through daily tasks, paperwork, and mentoring.
We expect you to have:- Positive ‘can do’ attitude and team player mindset 💙
- Flexibility to work 12‑hour day and night shifts, including weekends
- Full UK driving licence held for at least 12 months
- Level 3 Children’s Residential Care qualification (or willingness to complete, fully supported)
- Minimum age of 22 years due to legislative requirements
- Ability to build trusting relationships with young people and act as a positive role model
You will join a growing, values‑led provider with multiple homes rated Good or Outstanding by Ofsted. The provider focuses on delivering outstanding outcomes for young people while investing in staff development, wellbeing, and progression.
