A well-established engineering and manufacturing solutions provider, based in Basildon, is seeking a Marketing Manager to join the business as part of an exciting growth phase.

This is a newly created, stand-alone role and offers the opportunity to build and shape the marketing function from the ground up. The successful candidate will work closely with the Head of Business Development and Managing Directors, playing a pivotal role in driving brand presence, lead generation and long-term growth.

The Business

The company operates within the engineering and industrial technology sector, supplying specialist products and solutions into markets such as process engineering, energy management, instrumentation, manufacturing and renewables. Their work is highly technical and B2B-focused, making this an ideal opportunity for a marketer who enjoys translating complex engineering concepts into clear, compelling messaging.

The Role

You will have full ownership of marketing activity across the business, combining strategic planning with hands-on delivery.

Key responsibilities include:

* Developing and executing an end-to-end marketing strategy aligned to commercial objectives

* Acting as a marketing advisor to senior leadership and influencing business direction

* Creating and managing digital marketing campaigns, content and brand messaging

* Supporting business development through targeted lead generation and market positioning

* Analysing performance, reporting on ROI and continuously optimising activity

This role is stand-alone initially, with clear scope to grow into a larger team as the business expands.

About You

* Proven experience in a Marketing Manager or senior marketing role

* Background in B2B engineering, manufacturing, technical or industrial sectors would be a strong advantage

* Comfortable working autonomously and owning the marketing function

* Commercially minded with the confidence to engage senior stakeholders

* Able to communicate complex technical information in a clear and engaging way
