Overview
About the Role We are seeking an experienced CNC Lathe Programmer to support precision manufacturing operations. This role involves programming, setting up, and operating CNC lathes to produce high-quality parts and components. The position requires strong knowledge of Mazatrol and Fanuc controls, technical expertise in machining processes, and the ability to collaborate in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities- Program, set up, and operate CNC lathes to fabricate precision parts according to specifications
- Optimize machining processes using Mazatrol programming and Fanuc controls
- Perform regular quality checks with bore gauges and other precision measuring instruments
- Interpret and work from technical drawings, blueprints, and CAD models
- Collaborate with engineering teams to review and implement design modifications using Solid Works
- Conduct troubleshooting, adjustments, and minor repairs to maintain machine performance
- Support plastics injection molding processes when required
- Perform preventative maintenance to ensure reliability of equipment
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment following all safety procedures
- Proven experience as a CNC Lathe Programmer, CNC Machinist, or related role
- Proficiency in operating CNC lathes, milling machines, and EDM equipment
- Hands-on experience with Mazatrol programming and Fanuc controls
- Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Familiarity with Solid Works or similar CAD software for design interpretation
- Skilled in using precision measuring tools such as bore gauges, calipers, and micrometers
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Advanced expertise in Mazatrol programming and multi-axis machining
- Experience with plastics machining or injection molding processes
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies
- Strong mechanical aptitude with troubleshooting and repair skills
- Prior experience in a high-volume precision manufacturing environment
