Job SummaryConsolidated Sterilizer Systems is a leading manufacturer of steam sterilization systems, providing solutions for life sciences and health care customers for more than 75 years.
We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer with experience in mechanical design, CAD, documentation, and manufacturing support.
Responsibilities- Primary focus will be on Sustaining Engineering Activities
- Use 3D CAD tools to design and document design solutions for sterilizer products
- Create and maintain engineering drawings, BOMs, Assy work instructions, & product manuals
- Work with in-house manufacturing and external vendors to fabricate designs from prototypes to production following standard development process
- Follow standard ECO process to document new designs and changes to existing designs
- Work and communicate with cross functional teams (manufacturing, field service, purchasing, etc) to support changes to existing designs
- Participate in and lead design reviews
- Follow good design practices and Quality procedures
- Familiar with and able to support engineering changes, NCMRs, CAPAs, and CIP initiatives
- Generate and execute test plans including design verification and reliability tests to validate new designs and changes to existing designs
- BS Mechanical Engineering and 0-4 years work experience
- Able to multi-task while remaining organized and have great communication skills
- Self starter & team player willing to help out with any tasks
- Experience using 3D CAD (Solidworks a plus)
- Familiar with drafting, drawing, & doc control standards (GD&T a plus)
- Experience with 2D CAD (Auto Cad) a plus
- Experience with FDA regulations a plus
- Experience with ASME Boiler & Pressure Vessel Code a plus
- Able to commute to and work in office (Billerica, MA)
- On rare occasions, travel to customer locations (within USA) to support end-user and Field Service technicians to resolve Product Issues.
Salary range is $65,000 to $90,000, commensurate with existing skills & experience.
