Our facility in Billerica, Massachusetts is located in the metropolitan Boston area and specializes in the design and manufacturing of advanced photonics products based on MEMS and other micro-scale optical devices. Our unique technology enables the highest system performance in the most compact and cost-effective formats in a variety of applications.

This site's Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) products are laser-based imaging tools that have transformed ophthalmic care and made notable impacts on patients in cardiology, dermatology, oncology, gastroenterology, and other medical specialties.

We are presently seeking a Sr. Buyer in our Billerica site. This position is responsible for the procurement of services, equipment and materials required to support daily operations of the company. Negotiates and procures inventory and non-inventory goods and services at lowest acquisition cost consistent with quality limits of Excelitas Technologies Corporation.

• Solicits bids, analyzes quotations against specifications and selects suppliers with the proper capabilities to support goods and services;
• Partner with work cells to procure services and materials;
• Provide analyses and recommendations to support purchasing and scheduling decisions;
• Process purchase requisitions and create purchase orders;
• Maintain contract files, purchase order files and appropriate tracking system;
• Stay current with market requirements, resources, pricing and trends;
• Negotiates purchases at the lowest acquisition cost;
• Effectively communicate with internal customers and suppliers;
• Negotiate terms and conditions with suppliers;
• Performs other related duties of comparable complexity as directed.

• Bachelors Degree in related field;
• APICS Certified;
• 5-7 years experience in purchase expediting, material or inventory control;
• Must be capable of reading blueprints and schematics;
• Effectively communicates with and engages all levels of the organization verbally and in writing;
• You must be a U.S. Persons.

Pay Range: $100,000- $130,000 annually, depending on experience.
