Registered Dietician

What You'll Be Doing:

• Provide nutrition services for patients in a state-operated inpatient behavioral health setting.
• Complete nutritional assessments; provide consults, patient education, and other nutrition services as assigned.
• Analyze patients’ health status, goals, dietary restrictions, and track dietary intake and progress.
• Collaborate with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary treatment team regarding nutrition needs.
• Complete documentation in the electronic medical record.
• Provide nutrition-related guidance and support to food service leadership as needed.
• Follow facility Standard Operating Procedures and maintain compliance with applicable accrediting/regulatory standards (e.g., Joint Commission, CMS) and internal policies/procedures.

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Dietetics and/or Nutrition.
• Current Registered Dietitian (RD) credential through the national credentialing body.
• Current state licensure as a dietitian in Texas (LD).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with physicians, staff, patients, and families.
• Ability to meet facility immunization requirements.
• Ability to complete required drug screening, background check/fingerprinting, and mandatory onboarding training.

Typically Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM (subject to change based on departmental needs).

Telework option may be available.

No holiday, after-hours, or weekend shifts.
