Summary of PositionProvide specialized technical support focused on video and media production for instructional use in Canvas. This position supports faculty, students, and eLearning staff with creating, editing, managing, and improving multimedia content used in courses, training, and documentation. The role requires advanced technical skills, independent problem‑solving, and attention to accessibility and quality standards.
Position Requirements- Demonstrated experience with video and media production tools
- Experience editing video and audio content for instructional or communication purposes
- Strong technical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot media‑related issues
- Strong communication skills and ability to explain technical concepts to non‑technical users
- Support faculty and students with video creation for instructional use in Canvas
- Edit and enhance video and audio content to improve clarity, quality, and instructional effectiveness
- Assist with recording, editing, and publishing media using Canvas Studio, Zoom, and other supported platforms
- Troubleshoot media‑related issues such as upload errors, playback problems, and file compatibility
- Apply captions and support accessibility compliance for instructional media
- Create short instructional videos, screen recordings, and media‑based tutorials
- Assist eLearning staff with multimedia development for courses, training materials, and documentation
- Organize and manage media files following established storage and naming standards
- Communicate technical recommendations and project progress clearly and professionally
- Support special projects requiring advanced video and media production skills
