Position Overview - Final Assembly / Metal Finisher
We’re looking for an individual who is willing to learn and wants to be a part of a growing team. This role performs a variety of duties within our Final Assembly department, some of these duties include: fireplace prep and painting, construction of insulated panel systems, and crating. As an integral part of our production team, you will work closely with all individuals on the shop floor and the ability to transform our fireplaces from their initial raw weld state, to a fully finished fireplace crated and install ready for our customers.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Grind, polish, clean and paint all fireplace components
- Assemble insulated panel systems for all fireplace models
- Cutting and installing firebrick, glass doors, and additional components
- Read pack lists and pull inventory to complete fireplace orders
- Ensure all products are meeting Acucraft’s quality standards
- Construction of shipping pallets & crates, for all outgoing fireplace orders
- Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
- Basic carpentry skills and experience using power tools (drill, nail gun, chop saw, panel saw, etc.)
- Basic understanding of blueprints and standard work instructions
- Basic understanding of measurement techniques (utilizing tape measures)
- Ability to prep surfaces for paint; utilizing post weld, grinding, and finishing techniques
- Ability to identify and drive continuous improvement efforts;
Lean training preferred, not required - Ability to lift 50 pounds on a daily basis
- Must be flexible and willing to work overtime, if needed
- Desire to grow with an expanding company

Schedule:Full Time, Monday – Friday
Location:Big Lake, MN
Compensation:$19.00/hr + DOE
