Overview
The City of Big Lake is currently accepting applications for the position of a Full-time Police Officer. The purpose of this position is to uphold state and local laws, provide timely response and appropriate public safety services at all times and demonstrate and maintain effective relations with the public.
We are seeking experienced and entry-level law enforcement candidates to join our department. The City of Big Lake supports its law enforcement community!
Lateral Candidates- 3+ years of law enforcement experience eligible up to $48.89/hr. at time of hire.
- Minimum of 40 hours of Vacation and Sick Leave front loaded. Both negotiable!
- Field Training may be adjusted for experienced candidates.
- MN POST Board license or eligible to be licensed by March 1, 2026; possess a two-year degree in Law Enforcement, Criminal Justice, or related field, and have a valid MN Class D driver s license.
