Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain cost-effective processes and procedures.
  • Advocate and implement the highest quality standards and LEAN principles.
  • Assess and communicate technical specifications to all departments.
  • Provide design for manufacturability feedback to appropriate audiences.
  • Identify and complete continuous improvement projects.
  • Create and coordinate engineering studies.
  • Assist in the development of tool design and CNC programming.
  • Design and implement fixtures.
  • Create and modify BOM/BOO routings within the ERP system using change control processes.
  • Assist with costing and quoting functions.
  • Resolve daily manufacturing issues per LEAP structure.
  • Maintain documentation for engineering changes and manufacturing processes.
  • Coordinate measurement methods with quality programmers and engineers.
  • Maintain machining and secondary operational processes.
Essential Skills
  • 3+ years of experience in medical device machining/manufacturing.
  • Proficiency in process and continuous improvement.
  • ERP system management experience.
  • Familiarity with Lean manufacturing and Six Sigma principles.
  • Proficiency in tooling, Solid Works, CNC programming, tooling design, BOM generation, and machining processes.
  • Experience with CNC Swiss and CNC milling.
  • Knowledge of fixture design and Lean Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Understanding of ISO standards.
Additional

Skills & Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, or an associate degree with 4 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience with CAD software.
  • Proficient PC skills in a Windows environment, especially Word and Excel.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.
  • Experience in the design and selection of fixturing and tooling for complex parts is preferred.
  • Experience in a precision machine shop environment is preferred.
  • LEAN / Six Sigma training and demonstrated application is preferred.
  • Experience with CAM software, particularly Swiss or Milling, is preferred.
  • Experience working within an ISO environment is preferred.

Permanent position based out of Big Lake, MN.

Pay And Benefits

The pay range for this position is $75,000.00 - $/yr.
