Position: GA Aircraft Mechanic – Piston & Light Turboprops (Hands-on Workshop, Bienne Area)

Do you love working hands-on on light aircraft?

Join a leading General Aviation workshop near Bienne and maintain piston and light turboprop aircraft from brands like Piper, Diamond, Pilatus, Tecnam, TBM, and Kodiak. This is a hands‑on role in a small, skilled technical team – not airline or commercial jets.

You will be involved in the maintenance of light aircraft used in general aviation, mainly piston‑engine aircraft and small turboprops, in a hands‑on workshop environment.

You need to be qualified with extensive experience in general aviation aircraft such as the Piper family, Diamond, Tecnam, Pipistrel, Robin, Pilatus Porter as well as TBM and Kodiak series.

This position is not oriented toward airline or large commercial aircraft
, but toward general aviation operations
.

  • Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on light aircraft
  • Carry out inspections and repairs in accordance with maintenance manuals and procedures
  • Diagnose technical issues on piston engines and aircraft systems
  • Replace components and perform mechanical adjustments
  • Conduct post‑maintenance tests and functional checks
  • Ensure accurate documentation of all completed work
  • EASA Part-66 license
    , ideally:
  • B1.2 (piston aircraft) – strongly preferred
  • B1.1 with proven GA / piston experience may be considered
  • Practical experience in General Aviation
  • Solid knowledge of piston aircraft and light aviation systems
  • Familiarity with Part-145 or Part-ML GA environments
  • Ability to work independently as well as within a small technical team
  • English required
    , basic German is a plus
  • Your background is exclusively airline, jet or large commercial aircraft
  • You have no hands‑on exposure to general aviation or piston aircraft
