System Engineer

This energy provider offers households and businesses sustainable energy from 100% renewable sources such as hydropower and solar energy. In addition to traditional energy supply, innovative projects in energy efficiency and digitalisation are implemented, and customers as well as companies are actively supported in optimizing their energy consumption and reducing their carbon footprint.

• Work on innovative IT and digitalisation projects (e.g., smart metering, smart grids)
• Operation of a modern internal IT infrastructure with a focus on security and redundancy
• Varied tasks with plenty of creative freedom
• Long-term prospects in a stable and relevant environment

• Completed basic training as an IT specialist (Informatiker/in EFZ)
• Further education at HF/FH level in IT or comparable qualification is an advantage
• Several years of experience in a similar role and/or in IT security
• Strong interest in new technologies, especially cybersecurity
• High standards for documentation and sustainable IT solutions
• Reliable, solution-oriented personality with initiative
• Very good German or French skills, good knowledge of the other language, and proficiency in English (spoken and written)
• Operation, development, and structuring of the virtualization environment for servers, endpoints, and applications
• Management and optimization of the network landscape (LAN, WLAN, WAN)
• Support in raising cybersecurity awareness and implementing best practice security standards
• Participation in IT projects related to the organization, operation, and development of the IT infrastructure
• Close collaboration with the Service Desk according to defined ITIL processes
