About You

We’re seeking a result-focused, innovative, self-driven, and well-qualified individual to join our talented team as our Quality Control Lab Manager Formulations. In this role, you will lead the Formulations QC Laboratory in delivering customer-focused analytical testing by managing laboratory operations in compliance with ISO requirements, ensuring robust analytical support for scale-up validation and production batch release, driving continuous improvement in methods and workflows, monitoring performance metrics, and delivering consistent service delivery through effective team coordination, cross‑functional and cross‑site alignment, and documentation standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Elevate test method consistency and efficiency by evaluating performance metrics, standardizing protocols, and driving ongoing improvements in testing accuracy and throughput.
  • Manage daily lab operations and batch release by planning test schedules, allocating resources, and coordinating technician coverage to ensure on‑time, accurate results and uninterrupted customer service.
  • Cultivate a high‑performing, service‑oriented team by setting performance targets, coaching team members, conducting reviews, and promoting shared responsibility and outstanding service awareness in lab tasks and report‑outs.
  • Oversee equipment readiness and maintenance by executing calibration and qualification programs, tracking performance data, and ensuring analytical systems are audit ready.
  • Drive data visibility and KPI reporting by defining lab metrics, tracking turnaround times and error rates, and presenting results to stakeholders with actionable insights to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strengthen documentation quality and traceability by auditing lab records monthly, refining procedures for standalone clarity and usability, and updating process maps to standardize practices across all formulations.
  • Lead root‑cause investigations and CAPA initiatives by analyzing deviations, guiding corrective actions, and validating solutions to prevent recurrence and uphold regulatory compliance.
  • Champion customer advocacy and process enhancement by representing client needs internally, identifying service improvements, and driving initiatives that elevate lab responsiveness and customer satisfaction.
  • Institutionalize cross‑functional coverage and efficiency by managing cross‑training — tracked via skills matrix and accountability logs — to ensure every technician is competent in critical tasks, thus reducing downtime and balancing workloads.

You should have:

  • BA/BS in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related scientific field – or equivalency. An advanced degree is preferred.
  • Experience with analytical instrumentation and calibration including FTIR, UV‑Vis, Karl Fischer, viscometers, colorimeters, spectrophotometers, rheometers, tensile test machines, ovens, and environmental chambers.
  • Proficiency in using ERP systems and Microsoft Excel to manage inventory transactions, testing records, and compliance documentation. Minitab for SPC, DOE,…
